Xbox Portable - just a dream...or is it?

turbolag42ad98223f09b.jpgI saw this on a users profile over at Roosterteeth.com and thought i'd post it seeing as it just seemed like such an awesome concept.

Why settle for a PSP when you could have a screen mounted in an xbox controller. Of course this is never goin to be possible, and this is just a visualisation.

Then over at Hackaday i came across an actual portable Xbox360.

Created by Ben Heck, he stripped down an Xbox360 and built it inside a laptop style casing. So wherever you are, you can lift the lid and play. The version pictured was built using water cooling, but hackaday have a three post tutorial on how to build your own portable xbox360 with a fan based cooling system.

Whilst i have no doubt this is real, and it looks like it works a treat, I still wont be giving this a try though. Too much cost and hard work for something which it really just a fold up screen (which is already on sale)

Its my Birthday!

Today is my birthday,

Just felt like i should post something to mark the event.

I got an ipod nano. I'm so happy with it, i've wanted an ipod for years and have never been able to justify buying myself one, but now finally i have one!

My girlfriend Han and my parents went in on it for me, and an 8gb model too, best of all it does video.

Maybe i'll have to do a post dedicated to talking just bout the ipod.

I got another cool present too, my friends Ben and Leigh watch Heroes with me whenever we can get together and they bought me the eclipse poster printed on canvas.

Cant wait to move into my new flat and get this up on the wall, will look awesome!

We're goin out for a few drinks tonight, then 2moro we've organised a bit of a poker night which has been titled 'the burger party' as Hans making homemade burgers for everyone, gona be fun fun fun

Xbox Surround sound

I had my xbox360 hooked up to my surround system using the red TOSlinkand white phonos and relied on Dolby ProLogic II to provide me with surround sound in my games.
